Plant Care on a Rainy Day Despite the rain, I ensured my plants still got the benefits of fresh air by moving them outside this morning and back inside before it got too chilly. This careful management helps them thrive even during unpredictable weather. My dog who doesn't like getting wet from rain watched me from the backdoor staying nice and dry instead of coming with me to the greenhouse as she normally does.  My dog is loves water from sprinklers, hoses, puddles on trails, lakes, etc. but really doesn't like the rain.
